Newsletter Subscription Administration
Learn how to manage your users’ newsletter
The Newsletter Subscription Admin is designed for viewing and managing users' newsletter subscriptions and preferences. Access to this area is restricted to users with admin authorization.
Admins can efficiently oversee subscription settings to ensure optimal newsletter management.
Newsletter subscriptions overview
The Overview Page is your central hub for managing newsletter subscriptions. Here, you’ll find all the key details for each subscription at a glance.
- Email: The email address of the newsletter subscriber.
- Confirmation on: The date the subscriber confirmed their subscription.
- User: Displays the associated user account, if applicable.
- Newsletter: The specific newsletter the subscription belongs to.
Searching for a Subscriber
Use the Search Field at the top of the page to quickly locate a specific newsletter subscriber. Enter the email address or any relevant detail to refine your results.
Managing Subscriptions
- Edit or Delete: To edit or remove a subscription, use the action buttons located on the right side of the list.
- View Details: Click on any email address in the Email column to open detailed subscription information.

Newsletter subscription information

For each newsletter subscription the following information are stored in Unidy:
Field | Description |
User | There are two types of subscribers:
1. Subscriber = user
The subscriber/user has got an account in Unidy. In this case the user field has the users’ email address and users can manage their preferences in the channels menu bar. Please check Channels Area for further details.
2. Subscriber ≠ user
The subscriber does not have an Unidy account. Unidy offers the possibility to subscribe to newsletters without having to create an account. Respective subscribers can administrate their newsletter on the external newsletter page.
Since the subscriber isn’t user, the user field is empty. |
Confirmed on | Timestamp of the double opt in (DOI) confirmation or if the user was signed into Unidy while signing up, no DOI is required and the Confirmed on timestamp of subscription is the same as the Created on. |
Email | Email address the subscriber signed up to the newsletter with. |
Preference token | Unique identifier of the newsletter within Unidy. By adding the respective preference token to the url below, users can administrate their newsletter subscriptions and preferences, without having to log into Unidy.

Newsletter preferences | Preferred newsletter topics of the user. Unlike a newsletter subscriptions, the users newsletter preference selections are not binding and do not require a DOI before sending respective marketing content to the subscriber. |
Newsletter | The name of the newsletter the user is subscribed to. |
Created on | Timestamp of the newsletter subscription creation in Unidy |
Modified on | Timestamp of the last newsletter subscription update in Unidy |
History
To review the change history for a newsletter subscription, click the History button located in the top-right corner of the subscription information page.
Working in the History section
- View Change Logs: See a detailed list of all updates made to the selected newsletter subscription.
- Search Logs: Use the Search Bar in the top-right corner to quickly locate specific entries. Optimize Your View: Hide entries with no changes by selecting the option in the top-right corner.
- Navigate Back: Click on the user’s email address in the top-left corner to return to the newsletter subscription details page.

How to Guides
How to create a newsletter subscription
- Go to the Newsletter subscriptions section in Unidy Admin.
- Click on the New button in the top right corner.
- Fill the necessary fields with corresponding information.
- Click on the Create Newsletter button on the bottom of the page.
- The newsletter subscription is created in Unidy.
How to update a newsletter subscription
- Go to the Newsletter subscriptions section in Unidy Admin.
- Search for the newsletter subscription using the email address where the user receives the newsletter.
- Ensure that this is the newsletter subscription you want to edit.
- Click on the pen icon. Alternatively go to the respective newsletter subscription by clicking on the email address in the Email column and klick on the Edit button in the top right corner.
- Edit the necessary fields with new information.
- Click on the Update Newsletter button on the bottom of the page.
How to delete a newsletter subscription
- Go to the Newsletter subscriptions section in Unidy Admin.
- Search for the newsletter subscription using the email address where the user receives the newsletter.
- Ensure that this is the newsletter subscription you want to delete.
- Click on the trash bin icon. Alternatively go to the respective newsletter subscription by clicking on the email address in the Email column and klick on the Destroy button in the top right corner.
- Confirm the deletion of the newsletter subscription.
- The newsletter subscription is deleted from Unidy.
